Device to Turn Plastic Foam Into Fuel Claimed: Chuo Kagaku Co. of Japan says it has developed a method for safely turning used polystyrene foam containers into powdered fuel for burning in industrial boilers. The company introduced the technology at an industrial exhibition in October. It hopes to market the machinery, which it estimated would cost $757,000 per system, beginning in February, 1991. Customers would include fast-food restaurants and supermarkets.
