SANTA ANA : Public Help Sought in Identifying Body
Sheriff’s investigators Wednesday asked for the public’s help in identifying a man whose body was found in an open field in Seal Beach.
Orange County Sheriff’s Lt. Richard Olson said the victim was found Nov. 23 in a lot 20 feet south of Pacific Coast Highway west of the San Gabriel River.
The victim, believed to have been a transient, died from exposure, preliminary autopsy results have shown. He apparently used the aliases of Ray Vega and Gary Ninetyone, Olson said.
He was described as a white or Latino male, 6-foot-1, about 130 pounds, and 50 to 60 years old. He had black and gray hair, brown eyes and a 2-week-old growth of beard. Olson said the victim was found wearing a blue-and-yellow plaid, long-sleeve cotton shirt, white socks, white shoes, white T-shirt, a 34-inch black leather belt and green slacks.
