COLLEGE ROUNDUP : Missouri Kansas City Gets Hot in Second Half to Roll Past SCC
Missouri Kansas City rallied in the second half for an 88-69 victory over Southern California College in a nonconference men’s basketball game Thursday at Kansas City.
Southern California (3-2) led at the half, 35-34, but Missouri Kansas City shot 62% in the second half to pull away. Ronnie Schmitz scored 18 points for Missouri Kansas City (3-2).
Kent Denmon scored 15 points and Anthony Davis added 12 points and a game-high 14 rebounds for Missouri Kansas City. Terry Dickerson and David Robinson added 10 points each for the Kangaroos, who have a nine-game home winning streak.
Jeff Bickmore scored 23 and Mike Henjum added 16 for SCC.
In the Azusa Pacific tournament:
Colorado Christian 97, Pacific Christian 76--Phil Garcia scored 21 points for Pacific Christian, which lost in the first round.
Kenny Crawford added 20 and Kenny Kao 11 for Pacific Christian.
