STATE : Police Doubt Kidnap-Rape Story
SAN FRANCISCO — Berkeley police today discounted the story of Donna Oh, the Walnut Creek woman who vanished for nearly a month and said she was kidnaped and sexually assaulted.
“I’ll just say that again, based on statements that we have received and people we have talked to, we are very comfortable in saying that the kidnaping and the rape . . . just did not occur, “ said Berkeley Police Capt. Phil Doran.
Oh disappeared Nov. 2 and returned to the Bay Area Nov. 26 after resurfacing in Salt Lake City. She told police that she was abducted by two men for four days, after which she traveled alone through California and Nevada to Utah because the men had threatened to harm her two daughters if she ever contacted them again.
