COSTA MESA : OCC to Offer Course in Career Planning
Orange Coast College will offer a career planning course this spring for people who are having difficulty choosing a career.
The nine-week course is listed as Counseling 120 in the OCC class schedule, with 15 different sections offered on the spring agenda. Classes are offered in the morning, afternoon and evening.
Standardized tests of aptitudes, interests, personality characteristics and values are used along with non-test data to help students appraise their occupational choices. Each student will develop a tentative career plan after working with information about themselves and the work world.
Spring semester classes begin Jan. 22.
Registration appointments are being taken in the admissions office, which is open Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Registration by appointment starts Dec. 12. For information, call (714) 432-5772.
