Rams’ Defense, Raiders’ Offense Get Criticism
The Rams and you people of the press seem to be overly impressed with last Sunday’s game, because of a defensive stand at the six-yard line to end the game.
Did anyone ever hear of a defensive stand before they get to the six?
If you are still impressed, consider:
The Rams have had 227 points scored against them (highest in the NFL); they gave up 343 yards through the air to Warren Moon while recording one measly sack by Kevin Greene; and of the Oilers’ 56 plays, only eight tackles were made by defensive linemen, five by Alvin Wright, who had a great game.
What will it take for the Rams to not only recognize the need for some quality defensive linemen, but to do something about it?
