Santa Clarita’s New Postmaster Takes Oath
A 34-year veteran of the U.S. Postal Service was named postmaster of the city of Santa Clarita in a ceremony Friday.
John D. Kester, 58, was sworn in at the Santa Clarita Main Post Office in the 24000 block of Creekside Road. The 28-year resident of Santa Clarita said he hopes to improve postal service for residents and the working environment for employees.
Kester was customer service manager at the post office in San Fernando for the past eight years.
