The Cabrillo Music Theater will present its version of the rollicking musical comedy “Hello, Dolly!” for a three-day run at the Oxnard Auditorium.
Producer Betty Sullivan says that audiences won’t be sitting still during the performances.
“It’s a very musical production with lots of singing and dancing and spectacular choreography. People will really be excited. It’s a fun, upbeat play with not much dialogue.”
Sullivan and director Dianne Leigh have recruited local performer Linda Hall to fill the Dolly bill.
“Linda lives in Thousand Oaks and is a veteran to the stage, a really wonderful performer,” Sullivan said.
Besides “Dolly,” the production includes a cast of eight, plus 40 singers and dancers, full orchestral accompaniment and the Newbury Park High School Marching Band.
Performance times are 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 3 p.m Sunday. Tickets are $10, $12.50 and $15. Senior citizen and student discounts are available, as well as group rates.
The auditorium is located at 800 Hobson Way, Oxnard.
