Pasadena : Directors Modify RV Law
Owners of boats, camper shells, tent trailers and motor homes will have the same rights as recreational vehicle owners under a modification made Tuesday by the Board of Directors to a proposed ordinance adopted last week.
Last week, the board approved a proposal that would have banned all RVs from front-yard parking but permitted an exemption for RVs too large to fit in the back yards. But the same exemption was not given to other types of recreational vehicles. Thus, owners of small and less expensive recreational vehicles would have been required to store them off their property.
Mayor Jess Hughston said the proposed rule was patently unfair and asked the board to expand the exemption to include other recreational items.
