ASHLAND, Ky. — Naomi and Wynonna Judd will return to their hometown for the renaming of the 16th Street Plaza in their honor.
The mother-daughter singers, recipients of the Country Music Assn.’s Duo of the Year award for seven straight years, will be honored Nov. 20. The plaza will be renamed Judd Plaza.
The pair, whose hits include “Mama, He’s Crazy” and “Grandpa,” will also serve that day as grand marshals of a Christmas Parade.
Naomi Judd has announced plans to retire after their latest concert tour because of hepatitis. Her daughter will continue a solo career.
