I’m Sky High Wins Stuyvesant Handicap
ELMONT, N.Y. — I’m Sky High took the lead entering the stretch and went on to a three-length victory Friday in the $119,600 Stuyvesant Handicap at Belmont Park.
The winner carried 111 pounds, including jockey Mike Smith, in the race for 3-year-olds andup.
Silver Survivor was second in the seven-horse field, 1 1/2 lengths ahead of Lost Opportunity.
I’m Sky High covered 1 1/8 miles on the fast track in 1:48 1/5 to earn $71,760 with his fifth victory in twelve starts this year.
I’m Sky High returned $7.40, $4.00 and $2.80. Silver Survivor paid $5.20 and $3.20. Lost Opportunity was $3.40 to show.
