Trio-Tech International Reports $2.43-Million Loss
Trio-Tech International, a San Fernando maker of testing equipment for the semiconductor industry, reported a $2.43-million loss for its fiscal year that ended June 30, compared with a $2.51-million loss the previous year.
Trio-Tech’s latest loss came on a 7% decline in its sales, to $14.9 million from $16 million in fiscal 1989.
The company also said its long-term debt as of June 30 was cut to $449,000 from $1 million a year earlier, but its net worth--its assets minus its debts, also known as stockholders’ equity--narrowed to $1.7 million from $3.7 million.
Over the past five fiscal years, Trio-Tech has posted a loss each year, losing a total of $6.8 million.
