SHORT TAKES : Guitarist Lee Ritenour Weds
Guitarist Lee Ritenour has married Carmen Santos, a Brazilian arts envoy, in a chapel at Pepperdine University.
Ritenour, known as “Captain Fingers†for his guitar work, has recorded with Steely Dan, Barbra Streisand, Herbie Hancock, John Denver and Natalie Cole.
Ritenour, 38, proposed to Santos one evening in Paris under the Eiffel Tower, said Bobbie Marcus, the guitarist’s publicist.
They married Sunday.
The two met when Ritenour was on tour in Brazil, and they dated for three years.
Santos, 34, is director of the Sociedade Cultural Arte Brazil, a nonprofit arts and music organization based in Sao Paolo and Los Angeles.
