UniCare Financial Corp.: The Irvine-based worker’s compensation insurance underwriter reported third-quarter earnings of $2.2 million, up 16% from $1.9 million for the corresponding 1989 quarter. Revenue increased 42% to $26.2 million from $18.5 million. For the nine-month period, earnings totaled $6.4 million, up from $5.6 million a year earlier. Revenue rose 36% to $70.7 million from $52 million.
