‘Back to Future’ Actor Sues Studio
Crispin Glover, who played George McFly in “Back to the Future,†filed a lawsuit Monday in Los Angeles Superior Court, alleging that his voice and likeness were used without authorization by the makers of the movie’s two sequels.
The actor, who played Michael J. Fox’s nerdy father in the first film, is seeking at least $1 million from Universal City Studios, Amblin Entertainment Corp. and U-Drive Productions.
Glover, who turned down the chance to play George McFly in the two back-to-back sequels because he felt he was not offered enough money, alleges in the complaint that he “has a unique and distinctive likeness and voice that have won him roles in numerous motion pictures.â€
