Hunters, Hiker Find Remains
Deer hunters found the fragmented skeletal remains of a male adult Monday morning beside a road in Angeles National Forest, Los Angeles sheriff’s deputies said.
The remains were found near Lake Hughes Road about 30 miles northeast of Lake Castaic, said Deputy Rafael Estrada.
Investigators could not immediately determine the dead man’s identity, the cause of death or when it occurred.
In another incident later Monday, a hiker discovered the body of another male adult in Malibu Canyon Creek, deputies said. The body was found near Los Virgenes road and Piuma Road. Investigators had not determined the man’s identity or the cause of death.
