Amgen Announces Bone Marrow Cell Discovery
Amgen Inc. said its researchers have identified and cloned a growth factor for cells in human bone marrow.
Amgen, a biotechnology company based in Thousand Oaks, said early research shows that the growth factor might be used for treating bone marrow damage caused by radiation therapy or chemotherapy in cancer patients.
