California Amplifier’s Quarterly Income Up 40%
California Amplifier, a Camarillo company that makes components for satellite dishes and other devices, said its net income for the second quarter that ended Sept. 1 soared 40% to $111,000 from $79,000 a year ago. The company’s sales jumped 32% from $2.8 million last year to $3.7 million in the second quarter.
For the six-month period, California Amplifier said its net income was $166,000, compared to a year-earlier loss of $45,000. Sales at the company were up 37% to $7.2 million from $5.3 million in 1989.
