Column on Sheriff Gates Came as Breath of Fresh Air
I would like to congratulate Dana Parsons for his report about Orange County Sheriff Brad Gates, the “ . . . Sheriff Who Would Be Sun King . . . “ At least we have one reporter who tells it like it is.
What Gates has cost the county (our taxpayer money) to try and defend him is mind-boggling. With the county having financial problems, how long can we afford this guy?
Perhaps the reason the Board of Supervisors has taken no action or even expressed a view regarding Gates is that they are too busy accepting donations from developers, going on junkets or getting an air terminal named after them.
