Air America and Drugs in Laos

Thank you for Cockburn’s column. In his review of the film “Air America,” he says “It dares to say the unsayable and commits the added offense of joking about it.” About three days ago I saw the film on the recommendation of a friend. Although released several weeks ago after a too-brief run, it mysteriously disappeared from the first-run theaters.
The strange disappearance of this satirical muck-raking picture may mean that somebody upstairs must have deemed it too “un-American or unpatriotic.”
