Alhambra : Drug Program for Schools
Using games, songs, chants--even a makeshift mailbox for children to send anti-drug promises to President Bush and Gov. George Deukmejian--the Monterey Park chapter of Kiwanis International on Monday kicked off a $10,000 effort aimed at promoting an anti-drug message in local public schools.
The hourlong program will be brought to 13 elementary schools in the Alhambra School District, said David H. Ma, organizer of the event.
