Pierce 27, Harbor 12--The Pierce offense awoke late in the third quarter with a pair of big scoring plays to break open a tight game and post a victory at Pierce.
With the score tied, 6-6, Pierce (1-2, 1-1) took the first 7:39 of the second half to drive to the Harbor three-yard line but came up empty when it ran out of downs. However, after regaining possession after a punt, Pierce scored on a 56-yard run by LaShante Parker that gave the Brahmas the lead for good. Parker finished with a game-high 175 yards.
On the final play of the third quarter, Arie McQuaig capped a two-play drive with a 68-yard touchdown run to give Pierce a 20-6 lead.
Cedric Jenkins had five catches for 79 yards and one touchdown for Harbor (2-1, 1-1).
McQuaig had 10 carries for 103 yards for Pierce.
