HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL ROUNDUP : Glendora Defeats Upland, 14-0

Bobby Baeza scored on a four-yard run and Bill Zernickow added a 14-yard score to lead Glendora to a 14-0 victory over Upland in a Baseline League game Saturday night at Citrus College.

Zernickow led Glendora with 223 yards in 28 carries and Baeza added 100 yards in 13 carries. Glendora, the defending Southern Section Division IV co-champion, improved to 4-0, while Upland dropped to 2-2.

Pacifica 21, La Palma Kennedy 14--Derrick Nicholson rushed for 188 yards and scored two touchdowns to lead the Mariners to a Garden Grove League victory at Kennedy.

Nicholson scored on runs of three and six yards as Pacifica (2-2) attempted only five passes in the game. One of those, a seven- yard touchdown pass from Rich Main to Eric Stevens, gave Pacifica a 7-0 lead early in the second quarter.

Beaumont 13, Big Bear 7--Brian Hershey scored two touchdowns, including the game-winner late in the third quarter, and rushed for 135 yards in 25 carries to lead Beaumont (3-1) in a De Anza League contest at Big Bear. Big Bear (0-4) got its only score on a 16-yard run by Robbie Gump in the first quarter.

Leffingwell Christian 38, La Verne Lutheran 0--Alan LeCour scored four touchdowns and rushed for 106 yards in six carries to lead the Lions in an Arrowhead League game at La Verne.
