World IN BRIEF : ISRAEL : Palestinians Battle Police; 3 Wounded

About 100 Palestinians spilled gasoline onto roads near Jerusalem’s Old City and battled riot police, who wounded three youths with rubber bullets, according to police and Arab witnesses. The clashes broke out just before sundown, which marked the end of Yom Kippur, the Jewish Day of Atonement. Earlier, high school principal Mohammed Mustafa Abu Hassanein, 50, was killed by masked Palestinian gunmen in his office in Gaza City. He reportedly had been accused of collaborating with Israel.
