A trio of six-figure races, a Grade I event for quarter horses and a special program of racing Monday close out the 1990 Fairplex Park meeting.
The $100,000-added Pomona Derby (Saturday) and $150,000 Pomona Invitational (Sunday) traditionally have brought down the curtain on Fairplex Park activities, but this season an added Monday card will be presented, highlighted by the $34,000-added Amanda S. Stakes and $40,000-added Fairplex Breeders’ Cup Stakes.
Grandstand admission will be free Monday. Post time is 12:30.
A pair of graded events for quarter horses also are on tap closing weekend. The $50,000 Pomona Quarter Horse Championship Invitational at 400 yards, a Grade I event, will be decided Sunday.
