PRO FOOTBALL REPORT / WEEKDAY UPDATE : AROUND THE LEAGUE : Tagliabue to Meet With Patriot Player
Zeke Mowatt, the New England Patriot tight end who a female reporter says sexually harassed her in the team’s locker room, will meet with NFL Commissioner Paul Tagliabue next week to explain his actions.
Tagliabue decided to summon Mowatt after speaking both to New England owner Victor Kiam and to Lisa Olson, the reporter for the Boston Herald who made the accusations.
Tagliabue has the right to discipline Mowatt, either with a fine or suspension, or to reprimand him.
Olson refused to accept an apology from Kiam, who said the reporter was aggressive but denied making a derogatory remark.
