AT&T; Plans Saudi Service: AT&T; said it will introduce a simple dialing system that will enable U.S. military personnel in Saudi Arabia to make telephone calls to the United States. Beginning Oct. 3, Saudi-based Americans will be able to place calls from military bases to the U.S. by dialing 1-800-100. An AT&T; operator will complete the dialing. Previously, U.S. military personnel in Saudi Arabia were required to dial country and city access codes to reach parties in the U.S. American military men and women will be able to make three-minute calls free of charge during a two-week introductory period beginning Oct. 3.
