Moved by Military Cruise

Several months ago you ran an article about being a guest of the U.S. Navy (“Civilians Can Cruise With Navy,” April 8). My wife and I were able to take advantage of the information and spent Aug. 28-31 on the U.S.S. Valley Forge at sea while it prepared to deploy to the Persian Gulf.
We both are extremely appreciative for the opportunity. Very few moments of our lives will pass without a thought of those days and the crew of the U.S.S. Valley Forge. If those men represent the many others that serve our country in the military, our world will always have freedom.
Many thanks for the information.
