Sylmar 14, Chatsworth 0--Sylmar forced four turnovers and limited Chatsworth to 156 total yards in a nonleague game at Chatsworth. The teams combined for 187 penalty yards and six turnovers.
Sylmar quarterback Daniel Terry scored from nine yards with 3:18 left in the first half to cap a 10-play, 85-yard drive that gave the Spartans a 6-0 lead. Tobaise Brookins rushed for 129 yards in 18 carries and scored Sylmar’s second touchdown on a two-yard run in the third quarter.
Mukasa Crowe carried 14 times for 63 yards for Chatsworth (0-1).
