A Port Hueneme bank was robbed by a man who presented a note to the teller and left with an undisclosed amount of cash, authorities said Thursday.
The man entered Imperial Savings & Loan, 2671 N. Ventura Road, about 3:20 p.m. Wednesday, according to the Port Hueneme Police Department.
The robber claimed to have a weapon but did not show one, said Gary Auer, special agent in the FBI’s Ventura office.
The man is described as having a heavy build, short black hair, a round face and cleft chin, Auer said. At the time of the robbery he was wearing a black baseball cap with an L.A. Kings emblem, black sunglasses, a brown short-sleeve shirt and beige pants.
