The Seattle SuperSonics reportedly are on the verge of acquiring John (Hot Rod) Williams in a trade with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Williams signed a seven-year, $26.5-million offer sheet from the Miami Heat that was matched by the Cavaliers. He flew to Seattle Wednesday with his wife, Karen, and his agent, Mark Bartelstein, KING-TV said.
The SuperSonics reportedly have offered guard Nate McMillan and forward Xavier McDaniel for Williams.
