University High School defensive back Donnell Dowdy will be out three to four weeks because of a dislocated knee, Trojan Coach Mark Cunningham said Monday.
Dowdy, who was a first-team All-Southern Section selection as a sophomore last season, was injured after deflecting a pass in the end zone. He dislocated his knee when he landed.
“He wasn’t in too much pain and nothing was broken,” Cunningham said. “He should be back in a few weeks.”
