LAWNS AWAY
Though I liked the general direction of “There Oughta Be a Lawn,” by Robert Smaus (July 22), there are many other factors that need to be commented on concerning the condition of our water reserves in California. It has become obvious that individuals and developers will have to become more responsive to our water shortage cycles. It is time that we implement an economical and technologically sound system to efficiently return re-usable domestic water into the environment. Individual water reclamation for re-use in the yard seems to be the most efficient and cost effective.
