Regarding Tony Sheperd’s letter about Jose Offerman (Sept. 1): For anybody to jump all over a kid just up from triple A for making a couple of mistakes is silly. Let’s give Jose a break. I happen to think Offerman will be a Dodger mainstay for years to come.
