Cymbolic to Buy Electro-Optics Maker: Cymbolic Sciences International, the maker of imaging devices based in Aliso Viejo, said it will acquire the Electro-Optical Products division of MacDonald Dettwiler & Associates Ltd. in Richmond, Canada. Terms of the deal, subject to approval by the Canadian government, were not disclosed. Cymbolic acquired the Canadian division, which has 133 employees, to advance its business in making imaging equipment for the printed circuit board manufacturing industry and the graphic arts industry.
