El Toro Firm Sued Over Soil Inspection: Riverside Partners sued ICG Hydrotech of El Toro, alleging that it hired the firm to inspect soil at property in Riverside--and the firm incorrectly reported that the property never was the site of a gas station or other business that used chemicals. The Superior Court suit contends that Riverside Partners recently learned that the property, site of Riverside National Bank, is “heavily contaminated” with hazardous materials from a gas station that operated there from 1958 to 1978. Hydrotech Chief Executive Steve Elliott said the firm has no record of being hired by Riverside Partners. (Case No. BC009188. Filed Aug. 27)
