LOCAL : Driver Killed on Sierra Highway
A motorist was killed this morning when he lost control of his car and it overturned twice along Sierra Highway in Canyon Country, the California Highway Patrol reported.
Investigators had not confirmed the identity of the man, killed about 5 a.m. on the highway just north of Davenport Road, said CHP Officer A. J. Torres.
Torres said the man was driving south at a high rate of speed when his car veered off the road at a curve. The driver attempted to steer the vehicle back onto the highway, but it swerved across the road, overturning twice. The driver suffered a fatal head injury. The accident is under investigation.
