BREA : Ordinance on RVs Will Be Revised
The city’s Planning Department is now discussing revisions to the ordinance that governs where recreational and other large vehicles can be parked.
The changes would specify which vehicles are covered under the ordinance and impose additional restrictions on where the vehicles may be parked, said planner Konradt Bartlam. Brea residents may now park their RVs in garages, in side or back yards or in driveways.
The current ordinance is obsolete, Bartlam said, because it doesn’t address many new types of recreational vehicles. The extent to which other large vehicles are included also is not clear.
Although a public hearing is planned for October, Bartlam is seeking comment from residents now.
Residents who would like to comment on the proposed changes may call Bartlam at (714) 990-7674 or send a letter to the Brea Planning Department at City Hall.
