SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO : Motorcyclist Suffers Head Injury in Crash

A San Clemente man was in serious condition Monday after his motorcycle collided with a truck on Ortega Highway.
Eleazar Garcia de los Santos, 35, was traveling about 35 m.p.h. at 9:30 p.m. Sunday when he lost control of his Harley Davidson motorcycle at a corner, California Highway Patrol Officer Ken Daily said.
Santos struck an oncoming truck and was thrown from his motorcycle. He suffered major head injuries and was taken to the intensive care unit of Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center.
Santos, who was was not wearing a helmet, was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving and released to the custody of the hospital, Daily said.
The truck driver was not injured.
