Thai for Two
TO PARTAKE of the Oriental feast the Wat Thai Buddhist Temple hosts weekend days, just follow the crowd into the temple basement and exchange your cash for tokens. All the signs are in Thai, but many of the dishes are familiar, and vendors are on hand to explain the more mysterious ones. All the staples are intact: chicken, pork and beef sate, salads, noodle soups and rice.
The food can be ordered to go, but visitors are welcomed to dine alfresco and to visit the ornate temple itself. Just leave your shoes outside.
