U.S. Beats Puerto Rico in Overtime for Bronze
The United States basketball team overcame an eight-point deficit with 1:34 to play and went on to defeat Puerto Rico, 107-105, in overtime in the bronze medal game at the World Championships in Buenos Aires.
Kenny Anderson scored 34 points, including two free throws with one second left in regulation that sent the game into the extra period.
Yugoslavia, which beat the United States in the semifinals, will play the Soviet Union today for the gold medal.
