Redwood Chair Made to Rock in the Shade

Picture yourself at the end of a long summer day sipping cold lemonade and slowly rocking and relaxing in the cool shade of a tree.

Sound inviting? You supply the lemonade and yard with a shady tree, and we’ll supply the pattern for constructing this outdoor rocker. Even if you’ve never tackled any woodworking project before, you’ll be able to complete this one.

Our full-size pattern is complete with step-by-step directions, clearly marked parts and materials list. You just trace the design onto wood, saw out and screw the pieces together.

Redwood was used by our designer, but you may select any wood you prefer. If you’re not into rocking, a simple design change is offered that makes the chair stationary.

To obtain “Outdoor Rocker,†Pattern No. 130, please send $5.50. “Lawn & Garden Packet,†No. C22, offers eight back-yard projects such as a glider swing, birdhouses and more, but not including No. 130, for $10.50. Both prices include postage and handling.

Also available is our “Patterns for Better Living†catalogue, picturing over 700 woodworking and handicraft projects, for $3.95.
