United States Involvement in Mideast

The publicly proclaimed policy of President Bush to starve the entire population of a country (Iraq) in order to achieve his political ends should be condemned by every U.S. citizen who considers himself a human being (“Saudis Close Last Major Iraqi Oil Outlet, Turn Away Tanker,” Aug. 14). Old people, children, and infants born and unborn will no doubt suffer and die as a result of this unbelievably callous tactic, whose implementation is being funded by our desperately needed tax dollars.
