To take the sprawl of Los Angeles and deal with it as one large community of interconnected, richly varied neighborhoods and suburbs is courageous.
The problems of publicity and funding notwithstanding, I applaud the Los Angeles Festival for its insight in comprehending our sprawl and including all the people and neighborhoods in its plans.
