Two men firing from a passing car shot and killed a South-Central Los Angeles man early Thursday as he vainly tried to duck their bullets behind parked cars, police said.
The victim, Donald Clark, 30, died in the street only steps away from a friend’s house where he was going for a visit in the 500 block of 98th Street, said Lt. Larry Hinrichs of South Bureau Homicide.
“He jumped between two parked cars, but got stuck and became an easier target,” Hinrichs said.
A motive for the shooting was not immediately known.
