McDonnell Douglas Brass to Take Pay Cuts: Chairman John F. McDonnell and other top executives will take pay cuts this year as part of a major cost-cutting plan, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. McDonnell, who received $634,438 in cash last year, will take a 15% cut in his total compensation; Gerald A. Johnston, president, will take a 5% cut, as will William S. Ross, president of McDonnell Aircraft Co. A company spokeswoman said she had no information about pay cuts for executives at other units.
