A 33-year-old man was arrested Monday in connection with the shooting death of his live-in companion in Johnstown, an unincorporated area east of Lakeside, a Sheriff’s Department spokesman said.
Donald Robert Linstroth of the 14200 block of Rios Canyon Road reportedly called police at 11:45 p.m. Sunday to report the death of a woman who shared his home, said sheriff’s Lt. John Tenwolde.
Sheriff’s deputies found the body of Elvira Q. Gullrick, 36, who had been shot at least once, Tenwolde said.
Linstroth’s was arrested at his mother’s home, in the 1000 block of Alveda Avenue in El Cajon, Tenwolde said.
The shooting reportedly occurred after a domestic argument, Tenwolde said.
