3 Arrested, 248 TVs Seized at Warehouse
Three men were arrested and 248 allegedly stolen color televisions worth an estimated $155,000 were seized Friday from a Pomona warehouse, authorities said.
Along with the Sony color televisions, investigators took two forklifts in a raid on the warehouse in the 100 block of South Reservoir Street, Sheriff’s Deputy Hal Grant said.
Arrested were Jiles Gray, 32, and Mitchell Preston, 41, both of Walnut; and Gerald Walsh, 31, of Los Angeles.
The suspects apparently were selling the televisions for reduced prices at swap meets, the deputy said. The arrests culminated a three-week investigation by a sheriff’s team that investigates thefts involving large quantities of merchandise.
