LOCAL : Gang Tied to Van Nuys Slaying

A young man who detectives today think may have been mistaken for a gang member was shot and killed in front of his Van Nuys apartment.
The victim, 20-year-old Pedro Munoz, worked for a food distribution company and had no known gang ties, Detective Jim Vojtecky of the Van Nuys station said. Munoz may have been mistaken for a gang member because of his attire, Vojtecky said.
