The two lawsuits related to the death of Loyola Marymount basketball star Hank Gathers have been transferred to Torrance Superior Court.
Ricardo A. Torres, presiding judge of the Los Angeles Superior Court, said that since Gathers died at Albert Gersten Pavilion on the Loyola campus, the branch court should handle the lawsuits.
Gathers, 23, died on March 4 after collapsing during a West Coast Conference tournament game.
